What are the Amazon shipping templates for heavy and bulky products?
Whether it is a sofa, washing machine or sports equipment, easy and convenient scheduling improves customer experience for heavy and bulky deliveries. By ensuring customers are at home to receive their orders, you can save the time and expense of failed deliveries. The Heavy & Bulky programme offers two shipping options:
Arranged Delivery
With this shipping option, your customers are advised on the product page and checkout that they will be contacted to arrange a delivery and they should update their phone number before completing their order. You or your carrier will contact the customer via call, text, or email to arrange delivery to the ground floor entrance to their building or to the room of the customer's choice.
Arranged Delivery with online scheduling
With this shipping option, customers can choose their preferred delivery date or delivery slot in a calendar at checkout. You can set up the calendar in advance with available delivery dates and time slots. At checkout, customers can also update their phone number, in case you want to contact them on the day of the delivery.

Fulfilment price per region
The programme allows you to set a price per region and/or remove them when necessary. This helps you to calculate your shipping costs better.
How does it work?
Step 1
Sign up to become a selling partner on Amazon
You need to be a registered selling partner to be able to sell Heavy & Bulky items on Amazon. If you are new to Selling on Amazon, please register here.
Step 2
Apply to use Heavy & Bulky shipping options
The Heavy & Bulky programme is an invite-only programme designed to deliver the best customer experience for the delivery of Heavy & Bulky items. To qualify for the Amazon Heavy & Bulky programme, you must meet the following criteria:
- Products: You sell heavy and bulky items (>30 kg or 1.5 m in length).
- Tracking: You transfer tracking IDs to Amazon and work with an integrated carrier that can provide full tracking information to Amazon.
- Scheduling delivery: For Arranged Delivery, you or your carrier(s) arrange delivery with the customer. For Arranged Delivery, you are able to deliver heavy and bulky products within the customers' preferred delivery date or time slot. You can set up the calendar in advance with available delivery dates and time slots.
Step 3
Get enrolled in the programme and set up the new shipping options
When we receive your application, we’ll contact you to check if you meet the criteria to enrol in the programme. After enrolling, you can set up the new shipping options in your shipping settings. FBA Heavy & Bulky allows you to use Fulfilment By Amazon (FBA) as a solution for the storage, shipping, returns and customer service of your Heavy & Bulky products. FBA can help you scale your business and reach more customers. Simply send us your products, and we take care of storage, delivery to customers, customer service and returns handling.

When shipping to our Fulfilment Centres, you can use the Amazon Partnered Carrier programme (PCP) for domestic and cross-border shipments (both less than truckload or full truckload LTL/FTL) within the UK, France, Germany, and Spain. Amazon Global Logistics helps you send your FBA inventory to Amazon Fulfilment Centres worldwide. You can ship from China to the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain via ocean (full-container and less-than-container loads) and air.

For all other fee types (e.g. storage, removal, and disposal), Heavy & Bulky FBA items are treated in the same way as oversize items in the standard Fulfilment by Amazon programme. How do I enrol?
Step 1
Set up FBA
Create your Amazon selling account, and log in to Seller Central to set up FBA.
Step 2
Create your product listings
Once you add your products to the Amazon catalogue, specify FBA inventory.
Your Heavy & Bulky FBA items will be routed to the specialised fulfilment centres in each locale.

Prepare your products

Step 4
Ship your products to Amazon
Create your shipping plan, print Amazon shipment ID labels, and send your shipments to Amazon fulfilment centres. Learn more about sending inventory to Amazon.
