Fulfilment between the EU and the United Kingdom

Local Inbounding into the UK and EU and Remote Fulfilment from the UK and EU

Amazon offers two solutions to help you sell across the EU and UK borders seamlessly: Remote Fulfilment and Local Inbounding.

Local Inbounding into the UK and EU

Remote Fulfilment

Local Inbounding into the UK and EU means shipping your inventory to both your primary (e.g. EU) and secondary (e.g. UK) FBA networks. This allows you to store inventory locally in both regions, benefit from local fulfilment fees and provide the fastest possible delivery to customers across the EU and UK marketplaces. Our all-in-one solutions for brokerage, transportation and indirect representation make this process easy.
Remote Fulfilment allows you to sell across the EU-UK customs border without having to store inventory in the destination marketplace or register for VAT there. Simply send your FBA inventory to your local fulfilment centres and Amazon will be responsible for collecting and remitting VAT when handling cross-border orders on your behalf.

Frequently asked questions:

How do I estimate revenue and costs for cross-border selling?
Use the FBA Revenue Calculator to input your product details and shipping costs. It will provide a cost comparison between standard FBA, Remote Fulfilment between the UK and EU, and Pan-EU FBA, accounting for differences in fees and cross-border shipping.
What compliance requirements do I need to be aware of?
Before adding products, ensure they comply with product safety and compliance policies, environmental regulations and Amazon's policies. This includes providing the necessary compliance documentation.
While Local Inbounding into the UK and EU, how do I manage cross-border brokerage and transportation?
Amazon Customs Clearance and Shipping Services provides an all-in-one solution for the brokerage, indirect representation and transportation services required to send cross-border shipments. This allows you to easily expand your reach to millions of new customers across the border.
How can I ship products from China?
With Amazon Global Logistics, you can ship ocean cargo from China directly to the Amazon fulfilment network in the US, UK and EU.

How does the Build International Listings tool help with cross-border selling?
The Build International Listings tool allows you to synchronise offer prices and create/translate offers from a single source store to one or more target stores. This makes it easy to replicate your listings to additional Amazon stores and manage your offers in one marketplace.
How does the European Expansion Accelerator support the Remote Fulfilment programme?
The European Expansion Accelerator (EEA) is an automated end-to-end expansion solution that enrols your products into fulfilment programmes, translates and creates your listings, sets pricing and shipping settings in the stores you select.
For expansion between the EU and UK stores and vice versa, EEA will automatically enrol your account into the Remote Fulfilment programme between the EU and UK, enable export settings, identify your eligible products for the programme and create detail pages for these items to make them purchasable.
